I meant to do this awhile ago based on a Twitter thread I had created last year. So here we go. Here are the Rules of Misogyny applied to the trans rights movement.
1. Women are responsible for what men do.
How many times have we heard that gender critical feminists are responsible for the violence trans people receive at the hands of men? That we are encouraging it and glad to see it happen? J.K Rowling alone gets told this multiple times a day:
It isn’t true no matter how often they say it yet we keep hearing it and trust me we WILL keep hearing it for a long time.
2. Women saying no to men is a hate crime.
It means you want boundaries from men. This is a very bad thing that must be stopped at all costs, even if you have to threaten women to get your way.
3. Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.
My feminism is not exclusionary of transwomen because they are trans but because they are not actually women or females but males calling themselves so. My feminism excludes males no matter how they present themselves or how feminine they are.
4. Women’s opinions are violence against men, thus male violence against women is justified.
Go look up terf is a slur and see how many nice images and posts of men threatening to rape, beat, and kill women for having opinions that go against their sexist fantasy of being women exist out there. The baseball bat wielding psychos saying things like “I Punch Terfs” and “Die Cis Scum” should do it.
5. Women and Feminism must be useful to men or they are worthless.
See point three. My feminism does not and will not include men no matter how they identify. The end.
6. Women who go around being female AT men by menstruating and breastfeeding babies deserve punishment.
The Vagina Museum thinks it’s important for women to use gender neutral language so women who identify as men and men who identify as women don’t feel left out. Anyone who does not consent is a bigot. Therefore I am a bigot.
7. Women should always be grateful to men for everything.
We should be grateful that they are expanding the bandwidth of womenhood after all:
8. Men are whatever men say they are and women are whatever men say they are.
In spite of this they still call us cisgender. Even if you believe that we all have a gender I never consented to be told I am cis:
Seriously fuck off.
9. Men always know the “real reasons” for everything women do and say.
See above quote about Rowling. They never really read her stuff but they always know it is hateful, bigoted, advocates violence, etc… Naturally it could never be because GC feminists simply want boundaries from men or care about childhood safeguarding. It’s just because you are transphobic and bigoted. Nice one, patriarchy.
10. The worst thing about male violence is that it makes men look bad.
Go take a look at retweets about Rowling. At least several of them seemed a lot more concerned about the threats she was getting because they “gave transphobes ammunition” or “made her look like a victim.” This is common in transgender discussions, where women are lucky to get a simple calling out of the abuse they are receiving without it making it clear it is just damage control.
11. Whatever women suffer from, it is worse when it happens to men.
That is in the USA. In the U.K. which is the center of gender critical activism there has not been a trans person killed in several years. Even when they have been, it usually amounts to about one per year:
Rates for women and for men who are not transgender are much, much higher, even when adjusting for the difference in numbers.
12. Women’s ability to recognize male behavior patterns is misandry.
Change misandry to transphobia and it is a perfect fit. We are not supposed to acknowledge this as a problem apparently:
13. Angry women are crazy. Angry men have trouble expressing themselves.
We are bigots, terfs, fearmongering, hateful, transphobic, etc…they just had a bad day when they threatened to rape terfs with barbed wire baseball bats. That’s all.
14. Women have all the rights they need: The right to remain silent.
This really does give me the impression we are dealing with strong mature people with an interesting prospective on womenhood and not just emotionally stunted manchildren with a hard on for abusing them.
15. Men are the default human. Women are strange subhuman others.
It’s men who get to keep their words after all. We get made into uterus-havers, people who menstruate, individuals with a cervix, birthing people…
16. Everyone owns and controls women’s bodies except the women themselves.
You know you have terribly dire problems when your biggest problem is a woman won’t have sex with you after all. So marginalized.
I think that about covers it all. A genuine desire on women’s part to be kind or at least not to make waves has allowed males to run roughshod over our spaces, our sports, our safety and our very identity. It’s time to drop the virtue-signaling and get down to business:
You heard Rowling, let’s do this.
